Given all the wonderful health benefits of acai berry, it almost sounds too good to be true so it’s natural to wonder if there are any side effects. However, acai berry is a natural food, and like all natural foods pure acai berry has no side effects, as long as it is used in moderation. However, if you are buying an acai based product that uses acai berries as the main ingredient, but also uses other supplemental ingredients, you need to be aware of what those other ingredients are and what side effects do they have.
Guarana in Acai Berry Products:
As stated previously acai berry is a natural food and has no side effects. However, a number of popular acai berry products include guarana as a supplemental ingredient. Guarana is a syrup used as an appetite surpressant, which isn’t bad by itself. But guarana contains caffeine, as such any side effects associated with caffeine would also apply to an acai berry product that contains guarana.
Acai Berry Weight Loss:
The rising popularity of using acai berry for weight loss has resulted in many different companies offering acai based products for weight loss and diet. Many of those products, while being based on acai berry also contain a large mix of other ingredients. Since every company seems to use their own mix of added ingredients it’s really impossible to say what side effects those products would have. Your best bet is to learn what other ingredients are included and then look at what side effects those ingredients may have.

Another option is to use pure acai berry products with no added ingredients. That way you get all the benefits of acai berry and no side effects.
